Above, you see some of our fine staffers sporting Loki tees and mustaches. Why?
Because you are all HILARIOUS and awesome. In a nutshell…

1. Tom Hiddleston does a very funny MTV promo in which there is a mustache called Wendy (Just watch it. )
2. Our “Loki You Mad?” tee is a huge hit thanks to Tom’s tweet (He had just recently come on board as a judge for our Marvel villains contest.)
3. Many of Tom’s fans who ordered the tee received the felt mustache which is one of our Gifts With Purchase.
4. Being bemused by the ‘stache and tying it into the MTV clip, they decided to launch a fan-appreciation meme called “Project Wendy” (hashtags: #hiddlestonarmy and #projectwendy on Twitter) featuring folks wearing mustaches.
5. Even Tom himself participated…

Hence, we figured it was only right if we participated, too. So you see the picture above; there is another picture over on our Tumblr account. We approve of this meme and we’re glad you enjoyed the mustaches so much! (FYI, they are back in stock after a brief hiatus; every order of $50 or more gets one while supplies last!)

So a while back, with some assistance from our good pal Ryan Penagos at Marvel.com, we sent some of our Avengers/Loki tees to the man himself, Tom Hiddleston, who had commented on them on Twitter.  Imagine our surprise yesterday when, in a really cool tweet to all his followers, this photo turned up:

Whoa… we are the wardrobe choice for an official message to Loki’s Army? RAD! (And glad you dig the tees, Tom!)

We are extremely excited to announce that launching THIS MONDAY, September 12, we will have TWO new design contest open for artists to submit their fantastic works, with excellent prizes including BIG cash for the grand prize winners!

One is a Muppets design contest, co-presented with Disney: We’re all SO excited for the new Muppets movie in November, join in the fun and anticipation and enter your Muppet-ational art!:

The other is Steampunk design contest, which will be co-judged by steampunk lumiaries G.D. Falksen and Evelyn Kriete. Let your imaginations run wild and show us your fantastical Victoriana!:

WOW. Just wow. We had a feeling that our regular customers, as well as a whole new group of geeky t-shirt lovers, would react well to our announcement earlier this week that we’d opened a brand-new Star Wars category on the site. But the reaction over the past few days has been AMAZING!

We’ve been working on designs for many weeks prior to launch, so we have been happy to post so many so quickly in a variety that appeals to many different fans of one of the all-time great scifi franchises. But we’re humbled and honored by some of the great reaction we’ve seen online to all these designs – you guys are the BEST!
