It’s time for August’s Welovefine’s Cosplayer of the Month! Every month we’ll feature a cosplayer paired with one of our awesome t-shirt designs. They will also be showcased over at Comics Alliance: Best Cosplay Ever!

Our August Cosplayer of the Month is Jamie Carr! Jamie went all out in her homage to Bryan Lee O’Malley’s character. Not only did she make a handmade jacket, but also the shorts and even the purse! Her love of Scott Pilgrim was in the details, she even hand embroidered the Smashing Pumpkins logo that Scott wears, onto the back pocket of the shorts!

Jamie’s Ramona Flowers cosplay was the very first costume she ever made for a Con. Outstanding!

So a while back, with some assistance from our good pal Ryan Penagos at Marvel.com, we sent some of our Avengers/Loki tees to the man himself, Tom Hiddleston, who had commented on them on Twitter.  Imagine our surprise yesterday when, in a really cool tweet to all his followers, this photo turned up:

Whoa… we are the wardrobe choice for an official message to Loki’s Army? RAD! (And glad you dig the tees, Tom!)

Hi Jerry! Tell our WeLoveFine.com community a little about yourself – where are you from, how long have you been a designer, etc.
I’ve lived my entire life in the Oklahoma City area. I’ve been an artist since two, but only these last few years have I been really digging the tee design business! I actually consider myself a comic book artist at heart, and just recently had an awesome interview with Marvel Comics and currently showing them more comic art in the hopes of drawing for Marvel!

Wow! We are taken aback and definitely pleased by the reception we’ve received in the past week for our 80′s Fashion Art / X-Men tees, which depict four of the most popular ladies from Marvel’s long-running title – Rogue, Shadowcat (Kitty Pryde), Phoenix (Jean Grey) and Storm – in a style inspired by legendary fashion-artist Patrick Nagel. The colors, being that they are comics characters, are a bit brighter but the modern Art Deco-influenced style is unmistakable, and we’re stoked that so many of you love the nostalgic look of these designs like we do!
