Over the past day or so, we’ve seen tons of discussion online about the Disney t-shirt you see pictured here:
This is a tee we designed at Mighty Fine and sold exclusively to Disney Parks some time ago; it was also since available at the Disney Store online. We’re hearing reports that it sold out there since yesterday (the link is no longer available), amidst lots of press from everyone from Rolling Stone to Gothamist about the inspiration for the design (The origin of the waves image comes from a readout of the first radio pulsar discovered in space in 1967, but of course it became popularly associated as the cover image of Joy Division’s debut album Unknown Pleasures in 1979). It’s definitely divided people and provoked an interesting discussion, perhaps best covered from all angles in this Washington Post blog.
In the meantime, if the tee is indeed sold out we won’t be offering it here on the site – however, a similar design has been available in our Mighty Fine Boutique women’s line on the site for a while, and we’ve just added a men’s version. If you’re keen to keep the discussion going, those are the tees for you.

We at WeLoveFine.com are delighted to have participated as a merchandise sponsor at the recent BroNYCon event in New York City on January 7th.
The convention drew hundreds of dedicated My Little Pony fans, many of whom have been amongst our most passionate customers; we love getting feedback from you guys, thanks to everyone who came out and thanks to Jessica (Purple Tinker) for working with us! Here are some photos from the show…
